Anna Fischer of St. Joseph High School Track is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of May 24, 2015. At the Division 2 State Finals, Anna placed 5th overall in the 3200 Meter Run and was the top freshman finisher with a personal best time of 11:21.96. She also placed 13th overall in the 1600 Meter Run and was the second freshman finisher with a time of 5:23.96. Earlier in the season, she won the conference championship in the 1600 Meter Run.
Anna is also a member of the cross country and varsity basketball teams. In the classroom, she carries a 3.95 grade point average.
Anna is the daughter of Tom and Maureen Fischer of St. Joseph.
