Kevin Zabo tossed in 23 points, Mitch Peterson made a putback just before the buzzer and Kent State beat Western Michigan 73-71 on Tuesday night. Pippen scored 16 points, all in the first half, on 6-of-6 shooting with four 3-pointers. Josh Davis topped the Broncos (11-7, 3-2) with 16 points.
