WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

SOCCER
Mattawan 3, Lakeshore 1
Jennah White scored the lone goal for Lakeshore, assisted by Olivia Baker. Samantha Sobol, Anna Haines, and Hannah Kiesling each scored for Mattawan. Elana Mitchell finished with 12 saves in goal in the loss for the Lancers.

 

Lake Michigan Catholic 6, Bridgman 2
Catholic scored twice in the opening ten minutes on the way to a 3-1 halftime lead. The Lakers added three more insurance goals in the second half to put the match away. Maggie Tidey collected four goals for Catholic, with Chloe Mills and Ellie Howard scoring the other two. Olivia Tomlin scored both goals for Bridgman.

 

Michigan Lutheran 6, New Buffalo 1
The Titans got five goals from Ellie Primerano and one from Autumn McCune. Katie Marquardt finished with five saves in goal for Lutheran.

Buchanan 4, Constantine 3 – Game 1 (9 innings)
With the game tied 2-2, Constantine took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 8th inning. Buchanan then tied it with a run in the bottom of the 8th and scored in the bottom of the 9th to win it. Drew Glavin tossed eight innings and went 2-4 at the plate for the Bucks.
Buchanan 8, Constantine 0 – Game 2
Nursing a 1-0 lead, Buchanan scored seven runs in the 4th inning to put the game away. Cade Preissing, Jack Branch, and Macoy West each drove in two runs. West struck out eight in five innings of work to pick up the win.

SOFTBALL
Lakeshore 7, Niles 2 – Game 1
The Lancers scored three runs in the 1st inning and two in the 2nd to set the tone early. Gianna Kershchbaum recorded six strikeouts in six innings in picking up the win while also delivering a home run at the plate. Lakeshore also got a home run from Hannah Stankiewicz.
Lakeshore 10, Niles 2 – Game 2
An eight run 1st inning propelled Lakeshore to the win and a sweep of the doubleheader. Anna Chellman and Hannah Stankiewicz each drove in three runs for Lakeshore. Chellman also picked up the win in the circle.

 

Buchanan 17, Constantine 0 – Game 1
The Bucks scored 12 runs in the first inning to help bring an end to the game after three innings. Sophia Lozmack doubled at the plate picked up the win in the circle. Hannah Herman had a double and a home run in Buchanan’s offensive onslaught.
Buchanan 12, Constantine 0 – Game 2
Already leading 1-0, Buchanan scored seven runs in the 2nd inning and five more in the 3rd to put the game away. Sophia Lozmack and Alea Fisher both doubled for the Bucks while Camille Lozmack picked up the win in the circle.
