Craig Thompson of South Haven High School Cross Country is our WSJM Sports Van Buren/Cass Student Athlete of the Week for the week of November 5, 2017.
Craig participated in the Michigan Trials Senior Race, which brings together the top high school senior runners from around the state. He placed 29th overall with a time of 16:23. His time places him in the top five all-time at South Haven High School.
Craig is also a member of the South Haven Swim and Track teams, Choir, Orchestra, and National Honor Society, along with being involved with theatre. In the classroom, he carries a 3.9 grade point average.
Craig is the son of Brian and Christine Thompson of South Haven.
