Carley Mielke of South Haven High School Golf is our WSJM Sports Van Buren/Cass Student Athlete of the Week for the week of October 1, 2017.
At South Haven’s Lady Ram Invitational, Carley earned Medalist honors in the Gold Division by firing an 88. Her score was eight strokes better than the second place finisher. Carley is currently in 4th place individually in the Wolverine Conference out of 49 golfers.
Over the summer, Carley served on the staff at the Lakeshore Junior Golf Association. In the classroom, she carries a 3.6 grade point average.
Carley is the daughter of Andrew and Kelly Mielke of South Haven.
Other finalists for the week were Danielle Confer of Decatur Volleyball and Caroline Meyer of South Haven Swimming.
