Sources are reporting that the Detroit Tigers have completed a trade that sends pitcher David Price to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for pitcher Daniel Norris.
Price is 9-4 this season with a 2.53 ERA. Norris, a 22 year old left-hander, was Toronto’s No. 2 pick in the 2011 draft. He made his major league debut this season and is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in five starts. He’s allowed ten earned runs on 23 hits in 23.1 innings pitched.
Detroit also receives left-handers Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt in the deal.
Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski says he is still open to entertains deals involving Yoenis Cespedes, cJoakim Soria, and others.
