Kalabrya Gondrezick of Benton Harbor High School Basketball is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of March 8, 2015. Kalabrya helped lead the Tigers to the Class B Regional Championship with wins over Sturgis and Plainwell. A night after being crowned Miss Blossomtime, Kalabrya turned in 16 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and three steals against Sturgis. She followed that up with 22 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and two steals against Plainwell.
Kalabrya holds the titles of Miss Benton Harbor and Miss Blossomtime. In school, she serves as Senior Class President. In the classroom, she carries a 4.5 grade point average.
Kalabrya is the daughter of Grant and Lisa Gondrezick of Benton Harbor.
Other finalists for the week were Emily Witkowski of Michigan Lutheran Basketball and Andrew Wells of St. Joseph Swimming.
