WOMEN
Lake Michigan College 69, Lansing Community College 51
Samantha Jenkins poured in a game high 26 points to lead Lake Michigan College to a 69-51 MCCAA Western Conference win over Lansing.

The Red Hawks opened the game on a 7-0 run and never trailed. Jayla Bibbs also finished in double figures with 21 points for LMC. Lansing was paced by Jaylynn Williams’ 16 points.

The win lifts the Lady Red Hawks to 14-4 on the season and 6-1 in the MCCAA West. Lansing falls to 5-13 and 1-6 in the conference.

Lansing pulled away late to post an 88-75 win over Lake Michigan College. With the game tied at 71, the Stars outscored the Red Hawks 17-4 down the stretch.

Sheddrick Porter finished with 20 points in the loss for LMC, Khaire Williams added 18. Lansing got a game high 25 points from freshman Tevin Ali.

With the loss, the Red Harks fall to 3-15 on the season and 1-6 in the MCCAA West. Lansing improves to 7-10 on the season and 5-2 in the conference.
