Lions looking for a new kicker again

The Detroit Lions have cut Alex Henery, the second kicker they’ve cut in three weeks. Henry was brought in to replace rookie Nate Freese.  Between the two, the Lions are 4 of 12 in field goal attempts so far this season.

Former Denver Bronco Matt Prater and former Arizona Cardinal Jay Feely will both reportedly work out for the Lions tomorrow.  Prater is coming off of a four game suspension for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.

Former New Orleans kicker Garrett Hartley may get another look.  He worked out for Detroit after they released Freese, but was beat out by Henery.
