Mattawan 43, Lakeshore 38
Mattawan rallied for a 43-38 win over Lakeshore in their Class A District opener.
The Lancers led by 11 at the half. After the Wildcats cut into the lead, Lakeshore regained an 11 point advantage in the third quarter. Mattawan trimmed the deficit to one heading into the fourth and managed to pull it out in the end.
6’10” junior Nolan Foster led Mattawan with a game high 20 points. Lakeshore got 11 points from Jon Brown.
Lakeshore closes the season at 12-8. Mattawan improves to 15-6 and advances to face Kalamazoo Central Wednesday night in the District Semi-Finals.
