DIVISION 4 BABSEBALL STATE SEMIFINAL
Unionville-Sebewaing 5, Lake Michigan Catholic 1
Lake Michigan Catholic’s post season run came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Unionville-Sebewaing in the Division 4 Baseball State Semifinals. The Patriots struck early with four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Catholic got a run back in the bottom of the 1st as Jake Kissane drove in Kyle Juza to make it 4-1. The Patriots scored again in the top of the second and managed to keep the Lakers scoreless the rest of the way.
Lake Michigan Catholic ends the season at 27-4 while Unionville-Sebewaing advances to face Beal City for the Division 4 state championship.
DIVISION 3 SOFTBALL STATE SEMIFINAL
Coloma 5, Clinton 1
Coloma will play for the Division 3 Softball State Championship after a 5-1 win over Clinton. The Comets took an early 2-0 leads with single runs in the first and third innings. They then added some insurance with a three run sixth inning. Megan Koeningshof scored three runs for the Comets. One of those was on a bases loaded triple from Kayla Yore.
With the win, the Comets improve to 37-3 and advance to face Millington Saturday afternoon at 3:00 live on 95.7 & 1400 WSJM Sports.
