The Chicago White Sox are currently on a seven-game winning streak, putting them two games ahead of the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central and 2.5 games behind the Minnesota Twins for the second wild-card spot.
Several players showing strong offensive efforts have been a key during the streak. Star veteran Melky Cabrera has been especially productive over the last seven games, scoring 10 runs, two of which were home runs, and 18 total hits. Eight of Cabrera’s hits were doubles, and he recorded 11 RBI.
Adam Eaton has also had an impressive showing, scoring nine runs, two homers, 11 hits and five RBI. Jose Abreu has been making a difference in his second year in the MLB, scoring seven runs in Chicago’s current streak and recording 11 hits, two home runs and nine RBI. Rookie Tyler Saladino has also posted seven runs, with six hits and two RBI.
Carlos Sanchez, another second year player for the White Sox, has also made an impact in the winning streak. In the last seven games, Sanchez has scored five runs with 13 hits, and has recorded three RBI.
The White Sox will look to continue their success as they fight for the American League’s second wild-card spot.
