This week’s Mid-West Family Co-Players of the Week are Joron Brown and Trey McGinnis of St.Joseph High School Football.
The Junior running back duo have both been having amazing seasons, but both were capitalized by monster performances in last week’s Division III Regional Championship game against Parma Western,
Joron had 94 rush yards on 17 attempts, while finding the endzone for 3 touchdowns.
Trey gained 6.6 yards/carry, totaling 92 yards on 14 attempts, and also scored 3 touchdowns for the Bears.
The incredible performances by these two helped pave the way for the Bears dominating 49-13 victory and to seal the first regional championship for St.Joe since 2007.
Outside of football, Joron is also a member of the Bears Varsity Basketball and outdoor track teams.
While Trey runs both outdoor and indoor track, where he continues to dominate the competition as he was last years 4×100 meter State Champion.
St.Joe will play DeWitt High School in the Division III State Semi-Finals this Saturday at Jenison High School at 1PM.
