NFL – Jim Harbaugh interviews with Falcons for coaching job after talking with Chargers
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons for their head coaching vacancy, his second interview in two days. The Falcons announced the interview with Harbaugh, who has interest in a return to the NFL after leading Michigan to the national championship. The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that Harbaugh had interviewed for their head coaching vacancy. Harbaugh was the San Francisco 49ers’ coach from 2011-14 before nine seasons at Michigan. The Falcons offered no details about the interview with Harbaugh. Harbaugh is the second high-profile candidate to talk with the Falcons this week, following the team’s interview with Bill Belichick on Monday.

Miles Brown scored 17 points while shooting 7 for 12, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Shereef Mitchell was 5 of 8 shooting (3 for 4 from 3-point range) to finish with 13 points. Bailey also had seven rebounds for the Cardinals (9-8, 1-4 Mid-American Conference). Jalin Anderson scored 15 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 2 for 3 from the line, and added six assists and five steals. Basheer Jihad shot 4 for 10 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 8 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points. The Eagles (8-9, 1-4) were led in scoring by Tyson Acuff, who finished with 21 points and four assists. Jalin Billingsley added 11 points and eight rebounds for Eastern Michigan. NBA – Lawsuit accuses NY Knicks owner James Dolan, Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault
A woman has alleged that New York Knicks owner James Dolan sexually assaulted her a decade ago and then set her up to be molested by now-imprisoned film producer Harvey Weinstein. That’s according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles. Plaintiff Kellye Croft is seeking a jury trial and unspecified damages. She has consented to be named publicly and says she has come forward to seek accountability. Dolan is executive chairman of Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. He heads the NBA’s Knicks and NHL’s Rangers. His attorney says there is no merit to the allegations.

Boris Katchouk scored in the ninth round, Petr Mrazek made the clinching save on San Jose’s Filip Zadina, and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Sharks 2-1 in a shootout on Tuesday night. Chicago broke a three-game losing streak in the matchup of the NHL’s two worst teams while sending San Jose to its third straight defeat and 15th loss in 16 games. Chicago’s Rem Pitlick and San Jose’s Kevin Labanc scored in the first two rounds of the shootout, after which both teams misfired more than they were saved. Cole Guttman scored for the Blackhawks and Mrazek had 37 stops. Ryan Carpenter scored for the Sharks and Blackwood made 24 saves.

NHL – Forward Jason Dickinson agrees to new 2-year contract with Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year contract with Jason Dickinson, handing out another extension to a veteran forward. The deal runs through the 2025-26 season and carries a salary-cap hit of $4.25 million. The Blackhawks also finalized a new two-year contract with Nick Foligno last week. While the last-place team has struggled this season, Foligno and Dickinson have provided solid play on the ice and valuable leadership in the locker room. The 28-year-old Dickinson has a career-high 14 goals in 43 games this season.
Tennis – Jabeur and Wozniacki are out of the Australian Open in the second round
Sixth-seeded Ons Jabeur and former top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki are out of the Australian Open in the second round after losing to two young Russians. Jabeur was the runner-up at Wimbledon last year. She was beaten easily 6-0, 6-2 by 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva. It’s the second year in a row the Tunisian has lost in the second round. Wozniacki, who returned to the tour last year after 3 1-2 years away and started a family, was defeated 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 by 20-year-old Maria Tomafeeva, having led by a set and 2-0. Later Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic, the two defending champions, play their second-round matches in the night session. In the only men’s match completed, fourth-seeded Jannick Sinner beat Jesper de Jong 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 on the covered Margaret Court Arena.
MLB – Catcher Brian Serven claimed by the Blue Jays off waivers from Chicago Cubs
Catcher Brian Serven has been claimed by the Toronto Blue Jays off waivers from the Chicago Cubs. The 28-year-old Serven hit .130 with one RBI in 11 games for Colorado last season and batted .199 with five homers and 20 RBIs in 38 games at Triple-A Albuquerque. He was claimed off waivers from Colorado on Jan. 5, then was designated for assignment by the Cubs on Thursday when Chicago finalized its $53 million, four-year contract with left-hander Shōta Imanaga. Serven made his big league debut with Colorado in 2022, when he hit .203 with six homers and 16 RBIs in 62 games.
Wrestler Hulk Hogan helps rescue teenage girl trapped after Florida car crash
Retired wrestler Hulk Hogan and a friend rescued a teenage girl who was trapped in an overturned vehicle after a crash in Florida. Hogan said in a post on X that he used a ball point pen to puncture the car’s airbag and free the girl after witnessing the accident Sunday night in Tampa. His new wife, yoga instructor Sky Daily, took to Facebook to praise the quick action taken by her 70-year-old husband and the couple’s friend Jake Rask. The Tampa Police Department said in an email Tuesday that there were only minor injuries from the crash. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, is in the WWE Hall of Fame and lives in the area.
