TUESDAY’S RESULTS…

BASEBALL
Michigan Lutheran 20, Lake Michigan Catholic 7 – Game 1
The Titans scattered 15 hits, including four singles and a double from Alex Ritter. Jordan Ramirez added three singles and a double. Ritter also drove in five runs. Michael Markoch and John Jollay each collected two singles in the loss for the Lakers. Daniel Graebel picked up the win on the mound for Lutheran.
Michigan Lutheran 8, Lake Michigan Catholic 4 – Game 2
Trailing 2-0, Lutheran scored three runs in the 4th inning and five in the 5th to pull it out. Alex Ritter had a single and two RBIs for the Titans with Matt Willis collecting two singles. Jacob Koenig had three singles in the loss for the Lakers.

 

Galesburg-Augusta 8, Watervliet 6  (10 Innings)
The Rams scored three runs in the 10th inning to pull it out. Garrett Matthews had two doubles in the loss for the Panthers.

 

Buchanan 8, Three Rivers 0
After scoring two runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Bucks followed that up with a six run 4th inning to seal the win. Brandon Rogers drove in three runs for Buchanan while Sam Riley and Kennan Janowski each drove in two. On the mound, Gannon Kutemeier limited Three Rivers to just one hit over four innings in picking up the win.

SOFTBALL
Lake Michigan Catholic 16, Michigan Lutheran 6 – Game 1
With Catholic leading by one run, they scored nine runs in the 5th inning to pull away for the win. Anna Burton and Miriah Sirk both doubled to help lead the Lakers to the win. Abi Koch had a double and a triple in the loss for the Titans. Jenna Cutter got the win in the circle for Catholic.
Lake Michigan Catholic 15, Michigan Lutheran 8 – Game 2
The Lakers set the tone early with a four run 1st inning and a nine run 2nd. Emily Joanis collected three singles for Catholic. Olivia McLaughlin finished with two singles and a double in the loss for the Titans. Jenna Cutter picked up another win in the circle for Catholic.

 

Caledonia 9, Lakeshore 5 – Game 1
Lakeshore was forced to play catch-up early as Caledonia score twice in the 2nd inning and three more times in the 3rd. Caledonia was also powered by three home runs. Grace Connelly went 3-3 at the plate in the loss for Lakeshore
Lakeshore 8, Caledonia 1 – Game 2
The Lancers were powered by a four run 4th inning and a four run 6th. WSJM Sports Student Athlete of the Week Laney Mead drove in five of Lakeshore’s nine runs with two home runs. The Lancers had a total of five home runs in the game. Anna Chellman earned the win in the circle, allowing just one run on four hits over seven innings.

 

St. Joe 15, Portage Central 5 – Game 1
The Bears pounded out 19 hits in scoring the 15 runs. One of those hits was a Courtney Farrish home run. Courtney was 4-4 at the plate with six RBIs. Hannah Bachteal added four RBIs for St. Joe. In the circle, Izzy Rothrock and Sophie Pavese combined to toss a four hitter.
St. Joe 16, Portage Central 10 – Game 2
The Bears played long ball in game two. Taylor Garey hit three home runs with Lilly Halliday, Gabrielle Dilley, Hailey Robinson, and Olivia McQueen each homering once. Sophie Pavese picked up the win in the circle.

 

Buchanan 11, Parchment 5 – Game 1
Kaitlyn Lukkarila led the Bucks offense with three hits. Sophia Lozmack picked up the win in the circle.
Parchment 8, Buchanan 3 – Game 2
Already leading 5-3, Parchment sealed the win with three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Alea Fisher, Emma Lozmack, and Kaitlyn Lukkarila each had three hits in the loss for the Bucks.

 

Hartford 11, Bloomingdale 1
The 5th inning was the difference maker for the Indians as they scored all 11 of their runs in the frame. The inning was powered by triples from Megan Nelson and Alexis Griffith, and doubles from Cecilia Perales and Jaelyne Galvan. Karly Manning struck out 11 over five innings in picking up the win for Hartford.

 

Decatur 13, Eau Claire 2 – Game 1
The Raiders’ offense scored at least twice in every inning. Erika Debroka drove in three of Decatur’s runs. Gwendolyn Grosevenor and Erika Debroka combined in throwing a three hitter.
Decatur 15, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
Regan Rose threw three no-hit innings in picking up the win for Decatur. The Raider offense was powered by doubles from Makenna Keller, Erika Debroka, and Gwendolyn Grosevenor.

Coloma 13, Delton-Kellogg 0 – Game 2

 

 

 

SOCCER
Michigan Lutheran 4, Lake Michigan Catholic 3
Ellie Primerano scored all four goals in leading the Titans to the win. Caroline Miota had a goal and an assist in the loss for the Lakers. Chloe Mills and Kathleen Krieger also scored for Catholic. The win lifts Lutheran to 9-1 on the season. The Lakers fall to 11-2.

 

Coloma 8, Watervliet 0
The Comets were led by Cali Grenon, who finished with three goals and an assist. Mackenzie Ecker added two goals and an assist. Emma Vandermolen also scored twice for Coloma and Hannah Guntz found the net once. Coloma’s Emma Watson made nine saves in goal in recording her 11th shutout of the season. The Comets improve to 14-2-1.
