TUESDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL
Penn 3, Lakeshore 1 – Game 1
Lakeshore took a 1-0 lead in the 5th inning when Grant Ruddell singled home Alec Wojahn. Penn would then score three times in the 6th to pull it out.
Penn 14, Lakeshore 1 – Game 2
An 11 run 2nd inning broke the game open early as Penn cruised to the win. Lakeshore’s lone run came in the 4th fourth when Trevor Griffiths walked, stole second and scored on a base hit by Ryan Kolessar.

 

Watervliet 6, Parchment 3 – Game 1
Andrew Chisek threw six strong innings in picking up the win on the mound for the Panthers. Bryton Cockrun pitched a scoreless 7th to get the save. At the plate, Josh Reeves and Bryton Cockrun each collected two hits.
Parchment 10, Watervliet 3 – Game 2
Leading 4-3, Parchment broke the game open with six runs in the 5th inning.

 

Buchanan 3, Schoolcraft 2 – Game 1
After Schoolcraft tied the game in the top of the 6th inning, the Bucks scored in the bottom of the 7th to pull it out.
Buchanan 11, Schoolcraft 0 – Game 2
Matthew Hoover threw a no-hitter in picking up the win on the mound for the Bucks.

 

Niles 3, Berrien Springs 0 – Game 1
Jude Abbadessa and Drew Racht combined to throw a no-hitter to lead Niles to the victory. Abbadessa went five innings, striking out 12. Racht pitched the final two innings. Abbadessa also stole three bases for the Vikings.
Niles 9, Berrien Springs 4 – Game 2
Trailing 7-0, Berrien Springs mounted a comeback with three runs in the 5th inning and one in the 6th, but Niles managed to hang on for the doubleheader sweep. Gage Vota picked up the win on the mound for the Vikings. Offensively, Cade Vota went 4-for-4 for Niles.

 

Lawrence 7 Marcellus 3
Matt Juriga earned the win on the mound for the Tigers, Zach Payment picked up the save.

 

 

SOFTBALL
Watervliet 14, Parchment 7 – Game 1
Parchment took a 5-1 lead after the first inning, but Watervliet went on to score 13 runs over the next five innings to pick up the come from behind win. Jaylie Querfurth came on in relief to pick up the win in the circle. At the plate, Samantha Dietz collected four hits, five runs scored, and three stolen bases. Abby Whorton drove in four runs and Grace Chisek drove in three.
Watervliet 5, Parchment 1 – Game 2
The Panthers opened the game with a four run first inning. Parchment got a run back in the second, but that’s as close as they’d get. Grace Chisek led the Watervliet offense with two triples and an RBI. Hannah Hart went the distance, allowing just five hits in picking up the win.

 

Buchanan 15, Saugatuck 0 – Game 1
Sophia Lozmack pitched a perfect game in picking up the win for the Bucks. At the plate, Buchanan got a home run from Alea Fisher.
Buchanan 15, Saugatuck 0 – Game 2
Hailee Kara hit a home run for the Bucks with Camille Lozmack picking up the win in the circle.

 

River Valley 4, New Buffalo 3 (9 inn.)
The Mustangs came away with the win in a game dominated by pitching. River Valley managed just two hits while New Buffalo collected just one. Macey Springer picked up the win in the circle for River Valley, striking out 12. Ava Mullen struck out 20 batters but suffered the setback for New Buffalo.

 

South Haven 7, Brandywine 3 – Game 1
Trailing 3-2, South Haven scored one run in the 6th inning and three in the 7th to pull out the win. Jordyn Holland, Kamryn Holland, and Erin Schneider each drove in two runs for the Rams.
South Haven 23, Brandywine 9 – Game 2
The Rams started strong at the plate, scoring 17 runs in the first three innings. Erin Schneider and Jordyn Holland each drove in five runs for South Haven, Lexie Young added two triples and three RBIs. Kadyn Hoyt picked up the win in the circle.

 

Bridgman 38, Eau Claire 0 – Game 1
Bridgman 22, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
