Long time Chicago Bears great Doug Buffone passed away earlier today. Responding to a call from his home at 1:30 this afternoon, paramedics found him dead when they arrived.
Buffone played 15 years as linebacker for the Bears. He recorded over 1,200 tackles and 24 career interceptions with Chicago.
At this time, details as to cause of death are not known. Buffone was 70 years old.
