Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School in St. Joseph has announced that Erin Cashen will take over as the Lakers new volleyball coach. Cashen takes over the Laker program after preview coach Ashley Pagel stepped down to take a teaching and coaching position out of the state.
Cashen graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids. She was an assistant coach on the Women’s club team and head coach of the men’s club team at Ferris. Then had coaching positions with multiple club volleyball programs in Ohio and Indiana before becoming an assistant and eventually the head volleyball coach at Rochester Schools in Rochester Indiana from 2011-2018.
Our Lady of the Lake is the defending Division 4 District Champion and returns much of last year’s talent heading into the season this fall. Cashen and her husband moved to St. Joseph in 2018 and are the owners of All Eyes Optometry in St. Joseph.
