Emma Pachay – Student Athlete Of The Year

Emma Pachay of Marcellus High School is the WSJM Sports Female Student Athlete of the Year. Emma was a member of the Wildcats’ Cross Country and Track teams.
In track, Emma became a ten time regional champion in five different events, winning regional crowns this year in the 800 and 1600 Meter Runs along with the 1600 and 3200 Meter Relays. She placed at the MHSAA State Meet in two events. Emma earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in the 800 Meter and 1600 Meter Runs and the 3200 Meter Relay, and 2nd Team All-Conference honors in the 3200 Meter Relay. She was a member of the school record breaking 3200 Meter Relay team.
In Cross Country, Emma set a school record with a time of 19:59.8. She qualified for the State Meet for the 4th year in a row.
Emma is also a member of the National Honor Society & Marching Band, and plays club soccer.
In the classroom, she graduated with a 3.89 grade point average.
Emma is the daughter of Andy and Amy Pachay.
