Game 3 Awaits In NBA Finals, With Heat Loose And Nuggets Facing Adversity
Erik Spoelstra has preached about the value of adversity for months, not shying away from saying that it helped the Miami Heat get to these NBA Finals. And now Denver is dealing with a little taste of it as well. Game 3 of the NBA Finals is Wednesday night in Miami, the series between the eighth-seeded Heat and top-seeded Nuggets knotted at a game apiece. It got that way after Miami rallied to win Game 2 in Denver 111-108 on Sunday night, an outcome that prompted Nuggets coach Michael Malone to openly share frustrations primarily over a lack of discipline on a lot of possessions.

Lions Might Hold Part Of Training Camp In West Michigan
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell says the team is considering holding part of their training camp in west Michigan. The team has held training camp at their Allen Park headquarters for years, but Campbell says several fans approached him this past weekend in Grand Rapids about making the move. He says it will come down to logistics such as the condition of the turf, where they are practicing and other conditions. Campbell was in Grand Rapids for his daughter’s volleyball tournament.

LIV Golf, PGA Tour To Merge
The PGA Tour and LIV Golf will merge. The deal will see the end of pending litigation. The Saudi-backed LIV Golf disrupted the golf world by offering big paydays to lure golfers like Phil Mickelson away from the PGA Tour. The PGA responded by revoking the tour cards of golfers who competed in LIV Golf. The once-rivals will now combine into a new, yet-to-be-named company. The agreement also includes the DP World Tour, known as the European PGA Tour. The three groups will create a fair and objective process for any players that want to re-apply for membership with the PGA Tour or DP World Tour after the 2023 season.

9/11 Families United “Shocked,” “Offended” By PGA-LIV Golf Merger
An organization representing survivors and families of victims of the 9-11 terrorist attacks is speaking out about the PGA Tour merging with LIV Golf. 9-11 Families United said it’s “shocked and deeply offended” by the PGA’s merger with the Saudi-back LIV Golf. The organization’s chair Terry Strada lashed out at PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan claiming he “co-opted the 9-11 community last year” when he spoke out against LIV Golf. He continued saying Monahan and the PGA have now taken “billions of dollars to cleanse the Saudi reputation.” Strada went on to say, “PGA Tour leaders should be ashamed of their hypocrisy and greed.”
