Kysre Gondrezick of Benton Harbor High School Basketball is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of January 24, 2016. In games against Mattawan and Niles, Kysre turned in a combined 93 points, 14 assists, 19 rebounds, and eight assists. In the win over Niles, Kysre became Southwest Michigan’s all-time leading scorer for girls’ basketball. Her 39 points in the game gave her 2,460 in her career.
Kysre is also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and serves as a peer mediator. In the classroom, she carries a 4.4 grade point average.
Kysre is the daughter of Lisa and Grant Gondrezick.
Other finalists for the week were MaKenna Hartline of Brandywine Basketball and Reider Burgeson of LSJ Hockey.
