Student Athlete Of The Week – Dec. 26, 2014

Trey Cuellar of St. Joseph High School Wrestling is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of December 14, 2014. Trey went 6-1 on the week, recording wins over Kalamazoo Central, Mattawan, Comstock, Dowagiac, Paw Paw, and Leslie. Five of his wins were by pin, three of which came in the first period.

Trey will also be a member of the St. Joe Track team this spring. Outside of athletics, he tutors other students in Math, Science, and English, and he spends time volunteering at the hospital. In the classroom, he carries a 3.9 grade point average.

Trey is the son of Michelle Nichols of St. Joseph.

Another finalist for the week was Dennee Brown of Benton Harbor Basketball.
