Pistons Crushed In Atlanta
The Pistons’ losing skid stretched to four in-a-row following a 129-107 setback to the Hawks in Atlanta. Marvin Bagley the Third poured in a game-high 31 points for Detroit, which has dropped 15 of its last 16 overall. The Pistons visit Toronto on Friday.

Bulls Host 76ers
The Bulls will try to make it four wins in a row when they host the Philadelphia 76ers at United Center tonight. The Bulls are coming off a 109-105 overtime win over Philly on Monday night. Chicago is in tenth-place in the Eastern Conference with a 34-and-37 record.

NBA Legend Willis Reed Dead At 80
NBA legend Willis Reed is dead at the age of 80. The New York Knicks mourned his passing in a post on Twitter. The team said Reed stood for many things including leadership and work ethic. Reed won a championship with the Knicks in 1970 and a second one in 1973. In both title runs, Reed was named NBA Finals MVP and he’s best known for playing while injured in the 1970 NBA Finals. Reed would go on to serve as head coach for the Knicks, Creighton University and the New Jersey Nets.

Red Wings Slip Past Blues In Shootout
The Detroit Red Wings are back in the win column after slipping past the Blues 3-2 in a
shootout in St. Louis. Lucas Raymond scored the lone goal in the shootout for Detroit, which snapped a three-game skid. The Wings are now eight points out of the final Wild Card spot in the East. The Wings will host the Blues tomorrow.

Capitals. The Blackhawks are on a two-game losing streak following a 5-0 loss against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday. Chicago remains in last place in the Central Division with 54 points and a 24-40-and-6 record.

Tigers Doubled Up By Yankees
Spencer Turnbull tossed one-run ball into the fifth inning but the Tigers went on to lose to the Yankees 6-3 in Tampa. Will Vest was tagged for five runs in the fifth to take the loss. Kerry Carpenter homered for the Tigers in defeat. The Tigers host the Braves today.

Cubs Beat Royals
The Cubs took down the Kansas City Royals 6-2 in a rain-shortened Spring Training game yesterday. The game lasted just six-and-a-half innings. Patrick Wisdom went two-for-four with two RBI, and Christopher Morel went deep. Jameson Taillon picked up his second win after striking out nine and giving up just two runs in five innings of work. The Cubs are 12-and-10 in exhibition play, and they go up against the Athletics today.

White Sox Take Down Brewers
The White Sox scored four sixth-inning runs to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 in Spring Training yesterday. Gavin Sheets, Romy Gonzalez, and Adam Haseley all went yard in the win. Lucas Giolito struck out six and gave up two runs in four-and-a-third innings. The Southsiders are 10-and-9 this Spring, and they send Mike Clevinger to the mound against the Rangers today.

Japan Beats USA To Win World Baseball Classic
Japan has claimed its first World Baseball Classic title since 2009. Japan defeated the United States 3-2 at LoanDepot Park in Miami on Tuesday night for its third WBC title in the fifth-ever Classic. Shohei Ohtani struck out Mike Trout in the final at-bat to secure the win and earn the save. Munetaka Murakami and Kazuma Okamoto both homered in the win for Japan. Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber both hit solo home run shots for the U.S. in the losing effort. The sixth iteration of the WBC is scheduled to be played in 2026.
