Bulls 111, Pistons 101 – Pistons lose cool, Bulls take advantage in 111-101 win
Pau Gasol had 31 points and 12 rebounds, and the Chicago Bulls won again without Joakim Noah, 111-101 over the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Noah dislocated his left shoulder Friday and likely will miss the rest of the season, but the Bulls have had success without him. They improved to 9-2 in 2015-16 when he doesn’t play. Ersan Ilyasova had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Detroit, which was outplayed after taking a 13-point lead in the first quarter. The Pistons also lost their cool, getting called for three technical fouls in the third. Detroit guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope received two of them and was ejected. Derrick Rose had 20 points and Jimmy Butler added 16 for Chicago.

NBA – Title-winning Bulls assistant Johnny Bach dies at age 91
A man whose defensive expertise as an assistant coach helped the Chicago Bulls win three NBA titles from 1991 to 1993 has died. Johnny Bach was 91. Bach was the head coach of Golden State from 1983-86 before joining the Bulls as an assistant. He also worked as an assistant for Charlotte, Detroit and Washington. He returned to the Bulls in 2003 and retired in 2006.

MLB – AP Source: Tigers reach 6-year deal with Justin Upton
A person with knowledge of the deal says the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a $132.75 million, six-year contract with free-agent outfielder Justin Upton. The person spoke Monday night on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not been announced. The deal is pending a physical, and Upton can opt out after two seasons. The 28-year-old Upton gives the Tigers another powerful bat in the middle of the lineup and fills a need in the outfield after Detroit traded slugger Yoenis Cespedes at the deadline last year. Upton hit .251 with 26 home runs and 81 RBIs for the San Diego Padres last season. It was another big move for the Tigers, who are coming off a last-place finish in 2015 but signed right-hander Jordan Zimmermann earlier this offseason.
