Girls Soccer

Dominique Thomas scored two goals, Audrey Filippo had a goal and an assist as St. Joe defeated Kalamazoo Christian 6-0.  Summer Hoffman opened the scoring less than three minutes in, as the Bears scored three times in each half.  Aneesha Jain scored on a penalty kick and Emma Vaughn also had a goal as St. Joe improved to 7-4-1.   Kalamazoo Christian came in to the game ranked #3 in Division4.

 

Lakeshore 8, Niles

Sarah Dubbert, Lindsay Ebeling, and Carley Dubbert each had two goals, while Syndey Cason and Sam Hack added goals in Lakeshore’s 8-0 win at Niles.   Carley Dubbert and Cason also added assists while the Lancers got four helpers from Rachel Edinger.  Lakeshore outshot Niles 18-2 and Stephanie Bauchet made both saves for the win.  Lakeshore improves to 11-1-1. Bailey Kessler made 10 saves for Niles.

St. Joseph 8, Niles 3 – Game 2

Hunter Waning was 2 for 3 in game 1 as St. Joe fell at Niles 2-1.   In the second game, Bret Cohoon was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, Eric Engel was 2 for 2 with an RBI as St. Joe defeated Niles 8-3.   With the game tied at 3-3 after the 5th inning, St. Joe scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th to get the win.

Becca Meyer drove in 4 runs, while Hunter Thibault and Lindsay Zavoral had 3 RBI’s as Lakeshore won the first game 16-0 over Benton Harbor.   In game two. Sidney Weaver, Jaci Nate, and Olivia Freehling each drove in three runs in the Lancers 15-0 win in game 2.
