WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

SOCCER DISTRICT SEMIFINALS
Division 4
Lake Michigan Catholic 1, Bridgman 0
In a match where both defenses and goal keepers shined, Catholic was able to find the net four minutes into the second half. Hattie Latham scored the night’s only goal after receiving a backward pass from Maggie Tidey. Claire Jollay made four saves in goal for Catholic, Emma Boughner had eight for Bridgman. The Lakers advance to host Schoolcraft for the District Championship Friday at 6pm.

SOFTBALL REGULAR SEASON
Berries Springs 12, Three Rivers 10 – Game 1
Leading 8-6, Berrien Springs scored four much needed insurance runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to take a six run lead. Three Rivers rallied with four runs in the top of the 6th to pull to within two, but that’s as close as they’d get. Zoe Martinez and Olivia Elliott both drove in three runs for Berrien Springs.
Three Rivers 8, Berrien Springs 6 – Game 2
Nursing a one run lead, Three Rivers scored four runs in the top of the 7th inning to go up by five. Berrien Springs came back with three runs in the bottom of the 7th, but the rally fell short. Olivia Elliott had three hits and two RBIs in the loss for the Shamrocks.
**Three Rivers’ Kali Heivilin hit three home runs on the night, giving here a new state record 28 home runs for the season

Lawrence 23, Eau Claire 10 – Game 1
The Tigers opened with four runs in the 1st inning, nine in the 2nd, and continued to pull away from there. Kenya Perez-Fernandez went 2-4 at the plate with four RBIs in the loss for Eau Claire.
Lawrence 14, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
The Tigers once again scored four runs in the 1st inning on their way to the doubleheader sweep. Eau Claire was limited to just one hit, a single from Emilee Demski.
