Madison McGuire of Bangor High School Basketball is our WSJM Sports Van Buren/Cass Student Athlete of the Week for the weeks of January 14, 2018.
In the Vikings’ games against River Valley, White Pigeon, and Decatur, Madison turned in a combined 26 points, 22 steals, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. Her performance during the week included 14 steals in one game.
Madison is also a member of the Bangor volleyball and soccer teams, and National Honor Society. In the classroom, she carries a 3.68 grade point average.
Madison is the daughter of Palma Burdick of Bangor.
Other finalists for the week were Matty Stambek and Malcolm Underwood of Decatur basketball.
