This Saturday’s Big Ten football game between Michigan and Maryland has been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues in the Wolverines’ program.  Michigan also announced that it will pause practices until at least Monday, Dec. 7.

Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel said the decision was made with the health, safety and welfare of the student-athletes, coaches and staff in mind.  He added that the program has seen an increase in the number of players unavailable to compete due to positive tests and also contact tracing.

The contest with Maryland will not be rescheduled.
