Lakeshore hung on for a 44-39 win over Battle Creek Lakeview.  The Lancers were never able to pull away from the Spartans with their biggest lead being eight points.  Logan Steffes connected on four key free throws late to finally seal the victory.  Steffes led Lakeshore with a game high 18 points.

Wolverine
South Haven 64, Plainwell 57
South Haven trailed in the first three quarters of their Wolverine Conference matchup with Plainwell, but came out strong in the fourth quarter to muster a 64-57 victory.  DeShawn Palmer was high scorer for the Rams, with all 12 of his points coming in the 4th.  The Trojans’ Ben Gibson led all scorers with 22.  The Rams are now 10-1 overall, heading into another Wolverine contest at Otsego Friday night.

Morgan Kaiser scored a team best 15 points while Morgan Shewmaker had 13 as Lakeshore improved to 10-0 on the season with a 44-41 win over Battle Creek Lakeview.  Lakeview got a game high 16 points from Chloe McAllister.  Lakeview and Lakeshore had 13 lead changes.

Mattawan 80, Benton Harbor 71
Mattawan picked up their third win of the season with an 80-71 upset victory over Benton Harbor.  Kysre Gondrezick had a game high 54 points for the Tigers, setting a new team record for points in a game.  After winning 4 of their first 5 games, The Lady Tiger have now dropped 5 of their last 6 to fall a game under .500 at 5-6.

Frances Lyons had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals as South Haven held on to beat Plainwell 40-39.  Megan Sollman had 8 blocks for the Rams, putting her over 300 blocks for her career.

Mendon improved to 10-1 on the season with a 45-39 win over Michigan Lutheran.  The Titans got a game high 16 points from Emily Witkowski in the defeat.  Megan Zinsmaster had 14 points for the Hornets.  Lutheran falls to 9-3 on the season.

Lake Michigan Catholic 56, New Buffalo 44
Bridget Hoffman and Madison McLoughlin each had 14 points as Lake Michigan Catholic beat New Buffalo 56-44.  Alyssa Mulligan led all scorers with 18 points as well as 12 rebounds for New Buffalo.
