TUESDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL DISTRICTS
Division 1
St. Joe 2, Kalamazoo Central 0
The Bears scored twice in the 2nd inning and held Central to just three hits to advance to Saturday’s semifinals. Preston Nichols went 2-2 at the plate with an RBI to lead St. Joe offensively. Owen Kelley went the distance, striking out six, in picking up the win on the mound.

Division 4
River Valley 12, Eau Claire 1
The Mustangs scored early and often, starting with a three run 1st inning. Evan Strefling led the River Valley attack with three hits and three RBIs. Alex Patton allowed just two hits over six innings in picking up the win.

Brandywine 3, Bridgman 1
Parchment 7, Constantine 2

 

 

Division 2
South Haven 5, Paw Paw 1
Paw Paw opened the game with a run in the top of the 1st inning. South haven then took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the 4th. The Rams added two more runs in the 6th to secure the win.

BASEBALL REGULAR SEASON
Berrien Springs 7, Coloma 3 – Game 1
With Berrien Springs leading 5-0, Coloma pulled to within two with three runs in the top of the 5th inning. The Shamrocks responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the win.
Coloma 1, Berrien Springs 0 – Game 2
The Comets scored the game’s lone run in the top of the 4th inning. Pitching was the strength on both sides as the two teams combined for just five hits.

 

Watervliet 10, Bloomingdale 0
The Panthers opened the game with three runs in the 1st inning and cruised from there. On the mound, Andrew Chisek, Tyson Williams, Wyatt Epple and Chase Tremblay combined for a one hitter while registering 13 strikeouts. At the plate, Williams had a triple and a single while Josh Reeves finished with two doubles.

 

 

 

 

SOFTBALL DISTRICTS
Division 3
Watervliet 8, Hartford 2
The Panthers scored four runs in the first two innings and added four more in the 6th to advance to Saturday’s semifinals. Haiden Edelberg registered seven strikeouts in seven innings in picking up the win. Grace Chisek and Sophia Warsko both collected two hits for Watervliet as they advance to Saturday’s semifinals.

Marcellus 22, Eau Claire 0
The Wildcats opened with nine runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to set the tone early. The game was halted after three innings with Eau Claire being held to no hits.

 

River Valley 15, New Buffalo 0
The Mustangs scored nine runs in the 1st inning and six in the 2nd before the game was halted after three innings. Macey Springer struck out eight over the three innings to pick up the win. At the plate, she drove in three runs.

SOFTBALL REGULAR SEASON
Lakeshore 10, Buchanan 0
After two scoreless innings, Lakeshore took a 1-0 lead with a run in the 3rd inning and then scored eight in the 4th and one more in the 5th. Gianna Kerschbaum held the Bucks to just two hits in picking up the win for the Lancers. At the plate, she finished with a home run and a double. Pallas Domion also homered for Lakeshore. The Lancers end the regular season at 36-1 while Buchanan ends the regular season at 30-4.

 

Otsego 15, Berrien Springs 0 – Game 1
The Bulldogs opened with a seven run 1st inning and added six in the 2nd. The Shamrocks were held to just three hits, two from Maggie Coulston.
Otsego 11, Berrien Springs 1 – Game 2
Already leading 4-0, the Bulldogs put the game away with five runs in the 4th inning. Berrien Springs was limited to just four hits, two from Olivia Teichman.

 

Decatur 13, Lawton 1 – Game 1
Cecilia Conforti tossed a five inning no-hitter in leading the Raiders. Offensively, Riley Coulson went 2-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Emma Madden went 3-3 with one RBI and a run scored.
Decatur 13, Lawton 4 – Game 2
After a two run 1st inning, Decatur scored seven runs in the 2nd to put the game away early. Cecilia Conforti went 3-3 at the plate with four RBIs, Gwendolyn Grosvenor went 3-4 with three RBIs.
