TUESDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL
Michigan Lutheran 15, New Buffalo 0 – Game 1
The Titans jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the 1st inning and continued to pull away from there. Adam Rosenbaum drove in four runs with Alex Ritter and Daniel Adams each adding three RBIs. Josh Tahaney allowed just two hits over three innings to pick up the win.
Michigan Lutheran 16, New Buffalo 1 – Game 2
New Buffalo grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but Lutheran responded with five runs in the bottom of the frame. The Titans then added three more runs in the 2nd and eight in the 3rd. Jordan Ramirez led Lutheran at the plate with two triples, a home run, and two RBIs. Andy Semenak added a double, a home run, and two RBIs. On the mound, Jackson Anderson struck out five in three innings in picking up the win.

 

River Valley 12, Lake Michigan Catholic 2 – Game 1
Already leading 4-0 after three innings, River Valley added five runs in the 4th to seal the win. Gavyn Rogers led the Mustangs with two hits and three RBIs. Alex Patton struck out seven over five innings in picking up the win.
River Valley 18, Lake Michigan Catholic 3 – Game 2
Lake Michigan Catholic led 3-0 through two and a half innings, but River Valley scored five runs in the bottom of the 3rd and 13 in the 4th to complete the doubleheader sweep. Ryder Wolnik collected four RBIs for the Mustangs with Evan Strefling earning the win on the mound.

SOFTBALL
New Buffalo 8, Michigan Lutheran 7 – Game 1
Trailing 5-3, New Buffalo scored two runs in the 5th inning and three in the 6th to take an 8-5 lead. Lutheran scored twice in the 7th, but the rally fell just short. Alexia Tobias had two hits and two RBIs in the loss for the Titans. Aaron James drove in two runs for New Buffalo. Ava Mullen struck out 18 in seven innings to pick up the win for the Bison.
New Buffalo 13, Michigan Lutheran 2 – Game 2
Already leading 5-2, New Buffalo scored two runs in the 4th inning and six in the 5th to secure the win. Aaron James finished with three hits and two RBIs for New Buffalo. Ava Mullen picked up the win, allowing just one hit and striking out 11 over five innings.

 

Eau Claire 15, Howardsville Christian 5
Eau Claire scored in every inning on their way to securing the win. Julia Kurland, Ruby Salmeron, and Michelle Fortuna each scored three runs for the Beavers. Kayla Ferry went the distance, allowing just one hit and striking out 13 in picking up the win.

SOCCER
Lake Michigan Catholic 3, Kalamazoo Hackett 3
With the match tied 1-1, Maggie Tidey scored late in the first half to give lake Michigan Catholic a 2-1 lead at the break. Hackett came out and scored two unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead midway through the second half. With 12 minutes left, Ellie Howard found the net for the Lakers to tie it at three. Neither team was able to score the rest of the way. LMC got coals from Nora Proos, Maggie Tidey, and Ellie Howard, with Proos and Hattie Latham providing assists. The Lakers finish the regular season at 11-1-2.
