BOYS BASKETBALL

Mishawaka Marian 54, Lakeshore 38
A second half rally fell short as Lakeshore fell to Marian in a non-conference match-up. Down by as many as 15 in the first half, the Lancers pulled to within two in the second half, but couldn’t complete the comeback against the 7th ranked Knights. JJ Bushu led Lakeshore with 14 points.

Mishawaka 59, St. Joe 38
The Cavemen jumped out to a 13 point lead after one quarter and never looked back. Brennen Kerns led the Bears with a game high 16 points in the loss, Luke Hedstrom added 12.

Countryside Academy 77, Lake Michigan Catholic 59
The Cougars got a game high 26 points from Jamere Matlock in upending the Lakers. Victor Norris added ten points for Countryside. Jacob Koenig scored 18 points in the loss for Catholic with Jonathan Jollay adding ten.

Hartford 60, Marcellus 54
Aaron Sinclair scored 23 points to lead Hartford to a big road win in the Southwest 10 Conference. Kaden Johnson added 13 points for the Indians. Gavin Etter scored 25 points in the loss for Marcellus.

Centreville 50, Decatur 43
Jake Mroczek scored 18 points in the loss for the Raiders.

Gobles 45, Allegan 39
Defense and balanced scoring led Gobles to a non-conference win over Allegan. The Tigers limited Allegan to just 22 points through three quarters. On the offensive end, Hunter Tenbusschen led the way with 15 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Edwardsburg 59, Niles 43
Turnovers proved to be the difference as the Vikings fell to the Eddies. Niles took a one point lead through one quarter but Edwardsburg outscored them by 13 in the second period and again by six in the fourth. Alycia Patterson had 17 points, four steals, and two assists in the loss for the Vikings. Alexis Rauch added a double-double with ten 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Watervliet 52, Lawton 42
The Lady Panthers jumped out to an 11 point halftime lead and hung on down the stretch. MJ Flowers went 7-9 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter to seal the win for Watervliet.

Hartford 39, Marcellus 38
Alexis Snodgrass led the Indians with 14 points and Megan Nelson added 11. With the win, Hartford improves to 10-6 on the season.
