THURSDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL
Lakeshore 6, Kalamazoo Central 3 – Game 1
The Lancers scored five runs in the 3rd inning on their way to the win. Zach Warren allowed four hits and struck out five over 5.1 innings in picking up the win. Trevor Langston got the final two outs of the seventh inning to earn the save.
Lakeshore 11, Kalamazoo Central 0 – Game 2
Zach Warren, Michael Nate, Grant Ruddell, and Ryan Kolessar each knocked in two runs for the Lancers. Trevor Griffiths had three hits for Lakeshore with Riley Adams, Michael Nate, and Alec Wojahn each collecting two.

 

Decatur 5, Marcellus 1 – Game 1
The Raiders capitalized on three Marcellus errors and got RBIs from Ethan Makowski, Gavin Boodt, and Landon Fisher. Landon Hovenkamp was 2-3 at the plate for Decatur and scored a run. Brandon Bruno allowed just two hits and struck out ten over six innings in picking up the win.
Decatur 15, Marcellus 2 – Game 2
Decatur scored nine runs in the 2nd inning on their way to completing the doubleheader sweep. Andrew Confer drove in four runs for Decatur while Ethan Makowski drove in three. Makowski also allowed just three hits over five innings in picking up the win on the mound.

SOFTBALL
Lakeshore 11, Kalamazoo Central 0 – Game 1
Ginna Kerschbaum allowed just two hits and struck out 13 in picking up the win for the Lancers. At the plate, she collected three hits, including a double and a home run, and three RBIs. Shelby Grau added two RBIs for Lakeshore.
Lakeshore 15, Kalamazoo Central 2 – Game 2
The Lancers got solid performances at the plate from Reneigh Sandmann and Hannah Stankiewicz. Sandmann turned in four hits and four RBIs while Stankiewicz had three hits and four RBIs. Avery Arwood got the win in the circle.

 

Bridgman 28, Eau Claire 0 – Game 1
The Bees opened the game with 18 runs in the 1st inning and added ten in the 2nd to bring an early end to the game. Hannah Johnson struck out six batters in three innings in picking up the win for Bridgman.
Bridgman 15, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
The Bees pushed three runs across in the 1st inning and then added five in the 2nd and seven in the 3rd.

 

Mendon 5, Hartford 4 – Game 1
With the game tied 4-1, Mendon scored a run in the top of the 7th inning and held on in the bottom of the frame to pull out the win. Karly Manning allowed just four hits and struck out 15 over seven innings but suffered the loss for the Indians. At the plate for Hartford, Lindsey Goodson finished with two hits.
Mendon 7, Hartford 4 – Game 2 (8 innings)
The Hornets again scored in the final inning to pull out the win, but this time it was three runs in the 8th inning. Lindsey Goodson collected three hits in the loss for Hartford.

 

Decatur 4, Marcellus 3 – Game 1
The Raiders took a 4-1 lead with two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and then survived a comeback bid by the Wildcats in the top of the 7th. Cecilia Conforti struck out 13 over seven innings in picking up the win for Decatur. She also drove in two of the Raiders’ four runs.
Decatur 11, Marcellus 7 – Game 2
With Marcellus leading 7-2, Decatur erupted for three runs in the 4th inning and six in the 5th. Morgan Hall drove in four runs for Decatur. Breanna Franks tossed five innings in picking up the win.

The Eddies got two goals from Morgan Laskowski, a goal and an assist from Samantha Stewart, a goal from Macey Laubach, and two assists from Lili Szalai.

The Vikings got goals from Noemi Arevalo and Zyanya Robles.
