THURSDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL
Kalamazoo Central 4, St. Joe 2 – Game 1
With St. Joe leading 2-0, the Maroon Giants rallied with three runs in the 5th inning and one more in the 6th. Andrew Barlow and Zachary Polk each drove in a run in the loss for the Bears.
St. Joe 13, Kalamazoo Central 2 – Game 2
The Bears offense scored early and often in earning the game two win. They scored a run in the 1st inning and flowed that up with four in the 2nd and six in the 3rd to put the game away. Nicholas Polk got the win on the mound, throwing four scoreless innings. At the plate, Owen Kelly went 3-3 with three RBIs, Cole Toney went 2-2 and scored twice. Troy Pratley drove in two runs and scored three times.

 

Watervliet 11, Fennville 0 – Game 1
Andrew Chisek tossed a one-hitter in picking up the win on the mound for the Panthers. Offensively for Watervliet, Tyson Williams tripled and singled.
Watervliet 12, Fennville 2 – Game 2
Andrew Chisek went on to pick up the win in game two as well and also collected a double and single at the plate. The wins lift the Panthers to 6-4 on the season.

SOFTBALL
Watervliet 17, Fennville 0 – Game 1
The Panthers finished with 14 hits in the game. Addy Riley collected three hits, Abby Whorton added a home run. Hannah Hart allowed one hit in picking up the win.
Watervliet 18, Fennville 0 – Game 2
The Panthers opened the game with 14 runs in the first inning. Hannah Hart finished with three hits including a double. Haiden Edelberg earned the win, striking out seven.

 

Bridgman 10, South Haven 1 – Game 1
With the game tied 1-1, Bridgman scored nine runs in the 7th inning to win it. Four of those nine runs came on a grand slam from Emme Slavens. Taylor Holland had a single and a double in the loss for South Haven.
Bridgman 6, South Haven 3 – Game 2
The Bees rallied late again to pick up the win as they broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the 6th inning and two in the 7th. Kaylee Shuler drove in two runs for Bridgman. Kamryn Holland collected two hits and two RBIs for South Haven, Jordyn Holland drove in one run, and Taylor Holland finished with three hits in the loss.

 

Decatur 12, Bloomingdale 1 – Game 1
Cecilia Conforti allowed just three hits while striking out nine in earning the win for Decatur. At the plate, Morgan Hall finished with four of the Raiders’ 12 hits. Gwendolyn Grosevenor and Breanna Franks each drove in four runs.
Decatur 15, Bloomingdale 3 – Game 2
The Raiders opened the game scoring four runs in each of the first three innings. Cecilia Conforti led Decatur’s offensive attack with two hits and five RBIs. Breanna Franks struck out ten in five innings in picking up the win.
