Cailey Rooker of St. Joseph High School Golf is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of 
the Week for the weeks of August 21st and 28th. At the Grand Valley State University Invitational, Cailey shot a 78 and finished 3rd overall while leading the Bears to a 2nd place finish. She followed that up with an 83, good enough for 2nd place at the first SMAC tournament of the season. She then fired a school record 71 and placed 1st at the Zeeland Invitational.
Cailey is also a member of First Tee along with the St. Joe Tennis team and Student Senate. In the classroom, she carries a 3.97 grade point average.
Other finalists for the week were Kelly Walter of Coloma Volleyball, Jake Sremba of St. Joe Football, and Ryan Keller of Bridgman Soccer.
Cailey is the daughter of Paul and Karen Rooker of St. Joseph.
