Cameron Rendo of Watervliet High School Football is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of October 16, 2016. In the Panthers’ win over Decatur, Cameron was 21 of 25 passing for 242 yards and three touchdowns, giving him 2,349 yards and 28 touchdowns on the season. He also rushed for 69 yards against Decatur and one more touchdown.
Cameron is also a member of the Watervliet Basketball and Baseball teams. In the classroom, he carries a 4.05 grade point average.
Cameron is the son of Derek and Jodene Rendo of Watervliet.
Other finalists for the week were Tyler Brant of Watervliet Football, Britta Mollberg of Buchanan Volleyball, Zach Goodline of Coloma Football, and Anna Fischer of St. Joe Cross Country.
