The Eau Claire High School Cross Country team is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of November 9, 2014. The boys’ team as a whole earned Academic All-State honors while Elsie Jorgensen from the girls’ team won individual Academic All-State honors. Members of the boys’ team include Rolando Hernandez, Travis Klitchman, Jordan Jones, Nathan Blighton, Santiago Banda, Rafael Lopez, and Caleb Falcone.
The boys’ team finished 15th overall at the Division 4 State Finals with Rolando leading the way with a 70th place individual finish. Elsie placed 84th overall individually in the girls’ race.
