Vanya Ruppart of Bridgman/Niles High School Swimming is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of November 1, 2015. At the Conference Championship, Vanya won the 200 Freestyle with a new school record time of 1:54 and the 100 Freestyle in another school record time of :53.23. She also swam a leg for the winning 400 Free Relay Team and the second place 200 Medley Relay Team that broke a school record with a time of 1:50.9.
Vanya is also a member of the Niles Yearbook Club and N-Club. In the classroom, she carries a 3.98 grade point average.
Vanya is the daughter of David and Wendy Ruppart of Niles.
Another finalist for the week was Lindsay Marohn of St. Joseph Swimming.
