Anna Fischer of St. Joseph High School Cross Country is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of October 30, 2016. At the Division 2 Cross Country State Finals, Anna finished 2nd overall with a time of 18:30.9. Her performance helped lead the Bears to an 11th place team finish.
Anna has earned All-State and Academic All-State honors in both cross country and track. She is also a member of the basketball team and Interact Club. In the classroom, she carries a 3.97 grade point average.
Anna is the daughter of Tom and Maureen Fischer of St. Joseph.
