Larry Lamb of Niles High School Track is Berrien County’s Student 
Athlete of the Week for the week of May 1, 2016. At the Rotary Track Meet, Larry placed first in all three events he participated in. He won the Pole Vault with a mark of 12ft. 6in., the 110 Meter High Hurdles with a time of :15.42, and the 300 Meter Low Hurdles with a time of :41.63.
Larry was also a member of the Niles Football team. He’s earned an Academic Excellence Award and is a Presidential Scholar from Lake Michigan College. He also recently received Niles High School’s Joseph Whitwam Male Sportsmanship Award. In the classroom, he will graduate with a 4.14 grade point average.
Larry is the son of Larry and Jayne Lamb of Niles.
Other finalists for the week were Olivia Shinrock of St. Joe Softball, Toby Fox of Brandywine Baseball, and Cory Burnette of Michigan Lutheran Baseball.
