Andrew Pittman of Countryside Academy Basketball is Berrien 
County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of March 6, 2016. Andrew helped lead the Cougars to their first ever District Championship. In their semi-final win over Lawrence, he finished with 32 points, nine assists, five steals, and four rebounds. Then in the championship win over Lake Michigan Catholic, he turned in 16 points, six assists, six steals, and five rebounds.
Andrew received First Team All-Conference honors and was named All-Conference Player of the Year. In the spring, he plans to run Track. In the classroom, he carries a 3.0 grade point average.
Andrew is the son of Kizzy Taylor of Benton Harbor.
Other finalists for the week were K’Sean Collier of Countryside Academy Basketball and Blaine Warmbein of St. Joe Swimming.
