Noah Hanau of Lakeshore High School Wrestling is Berrien County’s Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 15, 2015. At the Division 2 Individual Regional Finals, Noah earned his third straight Regional Championship. In the final match, he defeated the returning state champion 5-1, the same opponent he lost to in last year’s State Quarterfinals.
With the win, Noah remained undefeated on the year. Earlier in the season, he eclipsed the 175 career win mark. He also helps coach the Lakeshore Youth Wrestling Club. In the classroom, he carries a 3.7 grade point average.
Noah is the son of John and Cathy Hanau of Stevensville.
Another finalist for the week was Shivam Patel of Bridgman Basketball.
