Mitch Findeisen of Niles High School Wrestling is Berrien County’s 
Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 14, 2016. At the Division 2 Individual Regionals, Mitch went 2-1 on the day which included a pin against the state’s third ranked wrestler. His only loss came against the second ranked wrestler in the state. With his performance, Mitch qualified for the state finals for the second year in a row.
Mitch is also a member of the Niles Football team and National Honor Society. In the classroom, he carries a 3.64 grade point average.
Mitch is the son of Fritz and Findeisen of Niles.
Other finalists for the week were Juwana Young of Benton Harbor Basketball and Emily Witkowski of Michigan Lutheran Basketball.
