MONDAY’S RESULTS

BASEBALL
Lakeshore 7, Lakeview 3 – Game 1
With the game tied 2-2, the Lancers scored four runs in the 3rd inning and held on from there. Riley Adams went 2-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored for Lakeshore. Also at the plate, Grant Ruddell went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Zach Warren went the distance on the mound in picking up the win.
Lakeview 4, Lakeshore 3 – Game 2 (8 innings)
Details of game two were not available.

 

Gull Lake 10, St. Joe 7 – Game 1
With St. Joe leading 3-1, Gull Lake scored three runs in the 5th inning and six in the 6th to put the game away. St. Joe rallied with four runs in the bottom of the 7th, but the comeback bid fell short. Preston Nichols went 2-3 at the plate with an RBI, two runs scored and three stolen bases in the loss for the Bears, and Zachary Polk was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Gull Lake 2, St. Joe 1 – Game 2
The Blue Devils opened the game with two runs in the 1st inning. St. Joe pulled to within one with a run in the 4th, but fell just short. Caleb Garey tripled for St. Joe in the 4th inning and Nicholas Polk drove him in for the Bears’ lone run.

 

Michigan Lutheran 15, Eau Claire 0 – Game 1
The Titans opened the game with five runs in the 1st inning. They followed that up with a seven run 2nd and a three run 3rd. Andy Semenak limited the Beavers to one hit over three innings to pick up the win. At the plate, Jackson Anderson led the way with three hits.
Michigan Lutheran 15, Eau Claire 3 – Game 2
Lutheran again set the tone early with two runs in the 1st inning and seven in the 2nd. Alex Ritter led the Titans offensively with a single, two doubles, a triple, and seven RBIs. Adam Conrad and Jackson Anderson each added two RBIs. Conrad struck out eight over five innings in earning the win on the mound.

 

Buchanan 11, Decatur 0 – Game 1
The Bucks put the game away early with three runs in the 1st inning and seven in the 2nd. Murphy Wegner, Levi Zelmer, and Drew Glavin each drove in two runs for Buchanan. Jack Branch pitched five scoreless innings, striking out 11, in picking up the win.
Buchanan 10, Decatur 0 – Game 2
Matthew Hoover was dominant on the mound once again for Buchanan, throwing five no-hit innings and striking out 12 to earn the win. He was dominant at the plate as well, going 3-3 including a double and triple, and driving in three runs. Jack Branch and Murphy Wegner each added two RBIs.

 

Niles 4, Portage Central 3
Central jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning. Niles rallied with three runs in the 3rd to take a one run lead. Both teams scored a single run in the 7th and Niles pulled it out. Jadon Hainey drove in two runs for Niles. Chase Lotsbaich went the distance in picking up the win on the mound for the Vikings.

SOFTBALL
Lakeshore 8, Lakeview 3 – Game 1
Already leading 4-2, the Lancers sealed the win with four runs in the 5th inning. Gianna Kerschbaum delivered a grand slam home run for Lakeshore. She also struck out 11 in picking up the complete game victory in the circle.
Lakeshore 6, Lakeview 0 – Game 2
Ginna Kerschbaum hit her second home run of the day and drove in two runs to lead the Lancers. Reneigh Sandmann and Natalie Spenner also drove in two runs apiece. In the circle, Kerschbaum and Avery Arwood combined to strike out 13 while allowing just three hits.

Buchanan 10, Decatur 0 – Game 1
The Bucks put the game away early with six runs in the first two innings. Hannah Herman finished with two doubles for Buchanan, Hannah Tompkins added one. Sophia Lozmack allowed just one hit and struck out 12 in picking up the win.
Buchanan 11, Decatur 0 – Game 2
After a seven run 2nd inning, Buchanan scored four more in the 4th to bring an early end to the game. Hailee Kara, Brooke Atkinson, Sophia Lozmack each doubled for the Bucks. Kara picked up the win in the circle. The two wins lift Buchanan to 28-3 on the season.
