NFL
Tampa Bay 38, Lions 17
Jameis Winston became the first player in NFL history to throw for 450 yards in consecutive games, leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 38-17 win over the Detroit Lions. Winston threw three touchdowns in the first half and finished with four scores through the air along with a career-high 458 yards Sunday. The Buccaneers have won four straight and five of six. Tampa Bay’s surge started too late for it to stay in the race to contend for a spot in the playoffs. For the Lions, David Blough threw for 260 yards but also two interceptions. Detroit has dropped seven games in a row, increasing the scrutiny on embattled coach Matt Patricia.

Green Bay 21, Bears 13
Aaron Jones ran for two scores and Davante Adams caught another as Green Bay defeated the Bears 21-13 in the 200th edition of the NFL’s oldest rivalry. With the win the Packers sweep the regular-season series between the two teams for the 15th time in the last 26 seasons and the seventh time in the last 11 seasons. Green Bay defeated Chicago 10-3 in the season opener. Mitchell Trubisky threw for 334 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in the loss for the Bears. The Packers improved to 19-5 against their NFC North rival with Rodgers as the starting quarterback. Green Bay clinched a playoff berth when Dallas beat the Rams. The loss drops Chicago to 7-7 on the season.
