Michigan and Rutgers will try to snap three-game losing streaks when they meet on Saturday night at SHI Stadium.
The start is the worst for the Wolverines since 1967, when they began 1-5 and finished 4-6. Michigan and coach Jim Harbaugh were ranked No. 16 in the preseason poll.
Like Michigan, Rutgers also has a 1-3 record. However, there is hope in Piscataway. The Scarlet Knights have played hard in their second stint with Greg Schiano as coach. They probably should have a 2-2 record but they blew a 10-point second-half lead in losing to Illinois last weekend.
