Lakeshore fell short of capturing the Class B Boys’ Basketball State Championship, dropping a 61-47 decision to Detroit Henry Ford Saturday night at MSU’s Breslin Center.
Free throws proved to be key down the stretch though, as the Trojans connected on 17 of 23 trips to the charity stripe in the fourth quarter.
Braden Burke paced Lakeshore with a game high 19 points. Logan Steffes added ten points for the Lancers, Max Gaishin finished with nine, and Gibson Archer and Jake Bushu had nine and two respectively.
Lakeshore finishes the season as Class B Runner-Up with a 20-7 mark.
