No. 4 Notre Dame is coming off perhaps its worst offensive showingof the season, a 34-10 loss to Clemson in the ACC championship game.
The Fighting Irish have had less than two weeks to prepare for Friday’s showdown with top-ranked Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinals. Coach Brian Kelly says his team must run the ball effectively. He hopes to chew up the clock and keep Alabama’s powerhouse offense on the sideline.
The winner will advance to the Jan. 11 title game against either Clemson or Ohio State.
