This week’s Mid-West Family Player of the Week is Jayce Warren, a senior from Bridgman High School.
Jayce is a star 3-sport athlete Bridgman, playing Football, basketball, and baseball, but last week, Jayce shined on the basketball court.
First, against Cassopolis, Jayce scored 26 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, and shot 15/15 from the free-throw line to lead Bridgman to a 73-57 victory.
Then later in the week against River Valley, Jayce scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, nabbed 6 steals, and made the game winning free-throws with 1.2 seconds remaining to give the Bees a 64-63 victory.
Jayce also performed at an extremely high level on the football field last season:
-28 receptions for 678 yards and 12 touchdowns
-10 carries for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns
-8 punt returns for 270 yards and 2 touchdowns
-2 kick returns for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns
Astoundingly, Jayce scored a touchdown on 39% of his touches last season.
Jayce is also a key member of the Bridgman Varsity Baseball team where he’s a Pitcher and plays Shortstop.
And in the classroom, Jayce has a 3.3 GPA.
Jayce is the son of Jason and Michelle Warren.
