Jacob Scouler of St. Joseph High School Soccer is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of September 29, 2019. Jacob scored the Bears’ only goal in their match with #1 Gull Lake. He followed that up with the winning goal in St. Joe’s match-up with 3rd ranked Mattawan. He ended the week by scoring the winning goal against Paw Paw. As of October 11, Jacob had scored 20 goals on the season.
Jacob also plays travel soccer for Kingdom in Kalamazoo. In the classroom, he carries a 3.95 grade point average.
Jacob is the son of John and Kim Scouler of St. Joe.
Other finalists for the week were Logan Grwinski of Buchanan Soccer & Football, and Michael Golden of Lake Michigan Catholic Cross Country.
